CALLING OUT BATCH '87 GRADUATES!

I am (WE ARE) inviting ALL Batch '87 Graduates to regularly log on to this blog for the latest updates and information about your alma mater, the SMA and in response to the call and challenge of the SMAAA (Saint Mary's Academy Alumni Association) to be more active and participative in its endeavors. Let's support the Association in every way, little or big, WE CAN!

Moreover, I (WE) would also like to invite YOU to send in your updated profile (and pictures) to melvin_dcat@yahoo.com, for this blog's continuity and for our other batchmates' chance to "re-connect" to each one again for the second twice.

You can also send in high school group pictures and write a short story/description of it/them that will allow us to recall such good memories.

So, what are you waiting for? Attach now those pictures that contain those big, loose tees, buggy pants, stoned washed (USED) pants, stretchable, pedal shorts, no-socks rubber shoes worn by curly haired innocent high school girls and skinny boys---in your e-mails!

Thank you!

See you around!

FROM BOYS TO MEN

There are more than 3 ways in knowing a MAN from a BOY!

A BOY:
1) A boy likes softdrinks so much!
2) A boy hates baby-sitting!
3) A boy doesn't like and love it when his mother shows him affection in front of his friends!

and so goes the list....

A MAN:
1) A MAN grows a dislike to softdrinks,
2) A MAN is only a man when he has harnessed his mastery in baby-sitting!
3) A MAN likes and loves his mother-in-law and gets the same courtesy in return, with or without society's knowledge!

...there's NO NEED for more...!

THESE... are THE MEN!

From left: CRIS (Maristela's husband), ROMEO FIGUES (front), MANUEL FIGUES, CONSOLACION BUTRON, METODIO (Tudyok) GOMILAO, LEONARDO (Nardong Putik, Waway) GUMAPON, JESSIE PETANCIO (with daughter).

JUST A MIRROR POSE, nothing more.
FELIX, ROSYVETTE with daughter and MARICRES

Of course we were at the opposite side of the table from ALMA, ROSYVETTE and JOEL.

We're giving you out this information, for fear that anyone who looks at this picture might tend to believe that ALMA and DAYVETTE have successfully wrestled everything what those left on the table suggest...see those empty bottles of Coke and Sprite and plates?..see how these two (2) have grown HORIZONTALLY? AL, makatindog pa ka? --- YES, that's ABSOLUTELY our point here!

LISETTE conversing with PAMELA NAZARENO (or was it RENATO CAYON?), FLORA experiencing a nocturnal episode of being trascended into her OWN WORLD and ELSIE who unofficially won the BEST POSE of the night! ELS, morag wala man kapoya sa Parade, unya morag dili pod obvious nga naka.inom ug Boracay da!

Standing from left: JOEL. LOLITA, ELSIE, ROMEO, ALMA, LEONARDO, FELICITAS, ROSALINDA, LISETTE, IVY, JESSIE (almost totally hidden & with daughter) and MARISTELA.

SAME PEOPLE with SAME WIDE SMILES!

TAKE 3 and...

TAKE 4!

Batch '87 would like to express their heart-felt gratitude to the GENEROSITY and GRACIOUSNESS of MRS. ELISA PROS (Joel's mother) and NANG MESIA for the dinner. The same degree of appreciation definitely goes to Joel. DAGHAN KAAYONG SALAMAT!

EYE-CATCHERS!

The following are worth our second and third glances... THANKS for the PURE and SPONTANEOUS FUN!
Long LIVE SMA!

JP, PEACE!

Guess whose balloon?

There's the answer, LOL!

The FINAL 3 of HEP-HEP, HURRAY!

JP, MISS ARROJADO (?), MRS. CUEVAS and MRS. BELEN YRAUDA.

Now, if those previous pictures above did not catch your eyes, THIS WILL!

How about these??? LOL!

That must be a great relief to the owner's feet!

The pair of the sandal and the rubber shoe must have found another line....

Immersed in deep conversation, savoring the feeling of being Silver Jubilarians!

"Is this the way grown-ups play the game by the HEART?"

"O, yeah! So, you better learn from us, boy. You can play this hard, but please come home with your clothes clean!"

"Excuse me, will you just take care of my stockings? Or at least my shoes...."

This boy shared the joy of his alumni parents.

"I am as proud as my parents and I want to be a Marian someday!"

So engrossed with his balloon.

"OK, ok I too, want us to win this longest line. But that's the last stretch my muscle can go."

This is the disco that has the unspoken spousal consent!

Tie, so it won't fly.

This marriage is between foreigners as revealed by the color of the bride's shirt.
This must be the cord scene by the suppose secondary sponsors. This group (Batch 84)went on to capture the crown in the PAINT ME A PICTURE contest.

Now GO! You're out kay kulang mo.
But please don't go down with the sinking boat!

GAMES, DANCE, FUN, FUN, FUN and MORE SPONTANEOUS FUN!!!

DAYVETTE, BEBIE CRIS and MRS. CUEVAS... HEP-HEP...!

JP, with the "contestants": MARICRES, MRS. CUEVAS, MRS. PRECIOSA vda.de BINGAN (more popularly known as BARAMBA), MRS. LINA NAZARENO and MRS. WILMA (Alquino) YRAUDA.... BARAMBA doing the reversed HURRAY!!!

JP as HOST!

MRS. YRAUDA giving her all, just like one of those real contestants in the country's No.1 noontime variety show WOWOWEE.

HEP-HEP... HURRAY!, a WOWOWEE popular contest had found its way to the SMAAA celebrations during the parlor games held at the Covered Court. JP, who did a Mariel-level performance "hosting", facilitated a very energetic and gamely attitude from the "contestants" coming from different Batches/Clusters that saw two (2) of our former SMA Teachers/Advisers MRS. CRESCENCIANA CUEVAS and MRS. WILMA (Alquino) YRAUDA and a parent of our batchmate, MRS. LINA NAZARENO (mother of Pamela) among others. That of course, did not disregard the all-out participation of MRS. BARAMBA who did not fall short of her festive disposition despite not making it to the Final 3....

...to ALL SMA graduates, HEP-HEP, HURRAY!!!

Different Batches gathered together in front of the school canteen shortly before the SMAAA parade took off.

BATCH '83 --- The SILVER JUBILARIAN!

The Batch who had all the right in the world to celebrate! Seen here taking a shade and immersed in deep conversation while recollecting their energy for the quite-long-walk parade which is almost the distance of the "PROCESSIONan", that is from the new SMA to the Covered Court.

A mix of Batches and balloon colors....
