As the "quite-a-saying" goes!
Whenever something UNIQUE/EXTRAORDINARY is done by a Filipino, or a tradition that has been practiced since time immemorial... we always take PRIDE in saying that!
In fact, the same statement is said even if it refers to the worst of feats the Filipino has ever dared doing, ONLY IN THE PHILIPPINES! --- and probably the same PRIDE goes with it.
But I am NOT talking about non-declaration of properties in other countries in my SALs, or my receiving of cash gifts in millions or about my latest jingle in my 2010 election-related INFOMERCIAL among others.
On the contrary, i am talking here of the uplifting, joyful, peace-giving and love-filled spirit of the Yuletide season that is CHRISTMAS!
My hearing of the first Christmas song in the air this morning while taking a sip of an aromatic coffee is a Filipino statement that the Season is just around the corner.
CHRISTMAS is unofficially (or is it OFFICIALLY?) HERE!
Oh, how'd you forget? It's the first day of SeptemBER!
Should I remind you, therefore, that CHRISTMAS in the Philippines starts on the first month that ends with 'BER!
MERRRY CHRRRISTMAS!!!
